The denim shirt is such a classic, must-have piece to have in one’s closet. When I sold vintage at Sunday Upmarket on Brick Lane the denim shirt was a much sought after item. Vintage denim shirts, to be specific men’s denim shirts, was a wardrobe staple with the hipster crowd, both men and women. This season denim has gone mainstream and you’ll find them in every high street store for Spring.

The textile denim has real lasting power and most of the time it only gets better with time—just think about how breaking in your jeans makes them fit and feel better. A vintage denim shirt always feels better to me. It’s a bit softer, having already been “broken in” and it feels lived in. A vintage denim shirt already has that relaxed swagger that makes wearing a denim shirt so cool.
