Chinese New Year is just around the corner. What a great time to celebrate Eastern influences in fashion. To work the far east style why not invest in a vintage cheongsam (a.k.a mandarin collar dress or chinese dress). In my opinion Oriental styles work best on structured pieces, like a pencil skirt dress. Accessorize your dress by mixing eastern with western influences for a unique and exotic look.

I don’t know about you but when I think of the far east I think of brocade satins and chinoiserie prints. Both elements add a touch of luxury and sophistication to any wardrobe.

To top off this look, I would go dramatic on your face. Wear a bold red lipstick on your lips and line your eyes with black liquid eyeliner. Keep your face velvety matte and flawless with finishing powder. I swear by Makeup Forever’s High Definition Powder.
