Mixin’ and matchin’ is always something I love to do when putting an outfit together. When I first saw that awesome necklace from L.A. based collection, Plastique*, I immediately saw an outfit in my head that was part ghetto glam part vintage pin up queen.  I am officially in love with Plastique*’s fun, laser cut jewelry and it’s clean-line design can be attributed to graphic designer-cum-jewelry maker Jen Murse. Her Etsy shop can be found here: www.etsy.com/shop/plastique

Another fabulous line  I’m heartin’ is São Paulo born and bred Chilli Bean. How cute are those thick acetate framed sunglasses? I’ve chosen the red, but it also comes in three other bright colors, purple, orange, and blue. In my head I saw this outfit completed with a cream fringe cropped box jacket. That gorgeous ombre fringe jacket from Topshop is like a dream come true and comes pretty darn close to what I was initially thinking of!

In the end I couldn’t think of a better poster girl for this look other than my latest girl crush, Lana Del Rey, who has described herself as a “self-styled gangsta Nancy Sinatra”.  Listen to her song Ghetto Baby below.
