Hello everyone! Today is officially the first day of Dressember! “What on earth is Dressember?”, you may ask?
Well, during the month of Dressember, participants all around the world wear a dress for everyday of the month of December, in order to raise money for the International Justice Mission (IJM), a human rights organization that works to put an end to human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
When I found out about this very important mission and that women the world over are a-dress-ing (pun intended) social justice in the 21st century, I signed up in a heartbeat.
So come rain or shine or incredibly frigid temperatures (I live in New York City and it gets frost bite cold during the end of the year!), I will brave it all, in a dress, all for this very worthy cause.
If you would like to learn more about Dressember and are thinking of participating too, you can check out the official Dressember website here:
If you’re a dude or maybe dresses just aren’t your thing, but you’d like to get involved with the fight against human slavery, please consider sponsoring my campaign below, which is also linked to the overall Dressember campaign:
100% of funds raised will go straight to IJM, and all donations are tax deductible.
My goal is to raise $1,500 for the month. CutandChicVintage and I personally have also made donations to get the ball rolling. Together, let’s make FREEDOM happen!
