It’s been a while since I’ve shared a post on my vintage finds, but I’m happy to announce I’ve added new items in my Etsy shop and there’s more to come! The first of these finds are two gorgeous dresses that I think will add the perfect amount of glamor to your Fall wardrobe. Dress number one is this very fab ’70s jersey maxi dress. You can’t help but fall in love with its cool geometric print and its faux wrap top at first sight.
Modern Vintage Fashion Tips
- Let your vintage find make the statement by keeping the rest of your outfit minimal. Vintage is one of a kind after all. Why not show it off!
- I usually just wear one vintage item in my outfits. By doing so, I know my overall look will feel current and fresh instead of “costumey”. Having said that, there’s nothing wrong with going all out ’70s if your heart desires!
- Feel free to alter your vintage find for a bespoke design. You can easily turn an outdated style into a modern one by taking up the hem or taking in the waist. Let your imagination run wild with ideas!
The second is this vintage Betsey Johnson dress. I immediately knew I had to grab it for the shop! First of all, it’s made of this gorgeous crushed velvet material. How on point is that for this season? I don’t usually buy something because it’s considered trendy, but if it does happen to be on trend then all the more for it.
The second reason I fell madly in love with this dress is its designer. This is an early Betsey Johnson dress from her “punk” label years. This is one of the labels on my holy grail list of vintage fashion to look for. Betsey Johnson is one of my favorite designers. She definitely knows how to have fun with fashion and there’s always a girly/rocker vibe to all her designs. But her punk years I think were the coolest and the boldest. Plus, look how timeless this dress is. You wouldn’t think this was an ’80s dress, would you?
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I’m adding more vintage finds to my shop within the next few weeks. Make sure to follow me on Instagram to keep updated: @cutandchicvintage
