A few months ago I posted a wish list of the hugely popular off the shoulder trend. Admittedly, I’ve held off on buying an off the shoulder top from my very own wish list. In fact, I still haven’t bought it. The reason is all down to the off the shoulder top I’m wearing here. I’ve had this vintage off the shoulder top for a few years now. I think I got it at an estate sale, but to be quite honest with you I’ve forgotten where I got it!
I love this top. My guess is it’s from sometime between the ’70s and the ’80s, although as you can see it’s pretty timeless. Most, if not all, of my vintage finds have a timeless quality about them. That way I know they will never go out of style.
If you follow my blog regularly, you’ll know that all of my outfit posts have at least one vintage item in them. Vintage, for me, has always been a way to dress apart from the crowd. So even if I follow massive trends, like the off the shoulder, I still feel like I’m honoring my individual style.
