• Britt Ekland is sexy ’70s glam in a multi-tiered fringe dress

I love Bond Girls. Good or bad, doesn’t matter to me – any job where you can work a gun and a bikini at the same time, faboush! This season’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here on ITV had the marvelous Britt Ekland taming the wild jungle without a raised cock – of a pistol that is. The Swedish actress played a Bond Girl in 1974’s Man With a Golden Gun opposite Roger Moore’s 007  and epitomised the sexy and decadent era that was the ‘70s.

Ah the ‘70s…what a fabulous time! Needless to say I’m pleased as punch that the ‘70s vibe is back in fashion. This January’s Marie Claire pays homage to the disco era throughout the issue. There’s a ‘70s look for any sort of gal, whether she be a ‘Disco Diva’, ‘Lady Luxe’ or ‘Prairie Girl’.

Soon, I’ll be off to the East Coast of my birthplace, the good ol’ U.S. of A. I’ll be scouring many a thrift store, vintage boutique, and flea market for one-off and one-of-a-kind pieces to add to the Cut & Chic Boutique. The ‘70s will definitely be a heavy source for inspiration!

Since I’ll be leaving The Big Smoke on the 15th of December and won’t be returning until the 12th of January, please check out the latest collection from the Cut & Chic boutique before I leave, otherwise your order won’t be sent until after I return!

However, keep checking this blog for updates on my latest finds and what will be in store for our online boutique.

Warmest regards to one and all,
    Jo X

Bianca Jagger, 1974. Studio 54, eat your heart out.

For girls with a more relaxed, Bohemian vibe, the ’70s has chic dresses for that too. Who knew a young Melissa Gilbert would someday make it into the style pages?

The timeless beauty of Lauren Hutton, 1975. Love that plunging neckline and Grecian style dress.
