Sometimes all it takes is seeing someone like you and me to try something new. Here’s a selection from our Pinterest board ‘Street Fashion’ to inspire you and hopefully try something you wouldn’t usually wear. Who knows you might just stop traffic (in a good way of course)!
I love this outfit! It’s so rockabilly chic. Soft, yet badass.
It’s time to start celebrating Spring and wear bolder prints and colors. I’m a slave to wearing black and admit I have way too much of it in my closet, but for 2012 I’m going for color. Already seeing this outfit has brightened my mood and I’m so ready for sitting outside for dinner or picnics in the park.
This is look screams Audrey Hepburn. The turban is such a great addition!
This trend is one of my favorites and one I’m eager to try. The crop top and high waisted skirt. For a more feminine and body conscious look. go for a fuller skirt. For a more daring style, go for a bustier crop top and summon your inner pin up girl.
Ghetto chic. Nothin’ wrong with that. Stock up on vintage jewelry and accessories from the 80s and early 90s. (Remember it ain’t vintage unless it’s at least 20 years old). Think big, chunky, and gold. Added bonus: If you look closely she’s wearing a hat with a veil over her face. Fabulous. Look for vintage millinery and fascinators on Etsy.
Color jeans are everywhere now. Invest in a pair because as you can see they’re not just for fun holidays abroad or weekends – they can be a sophisticated addition to your everyday wardrobe. Just add a blouse and accessorize appropriately.
My look – denim on denim. It’s traditionally a fashion faux pas, but that’s what I like about it. Be a fashion rebel and have fun with fashion. The top is vintage (invest in a vintage denim piece, it lasts for ages and stands the test of time). The jeans are Moto for Topshop. The retro sunglasses are Mossimo for Target.
